From the playgroup class :)
From the nursery one class:
First day of work
On the first day of work we reached work early and started off by standing by with the centre manager, Mr Kayne Tan, at the door to welcome the children as their parents dropped them at the centre. Then Kayne Tan explained to us our duties etc before assigning us to the playgroup class on the first day of work :) The playgroup class consists of two years olds, with the youngest only 18months old :) Trust me, they are really really adorable and energetic! :)
First we headed to the Gym, which in other words was running about with cushioned mats laid nicely on the floor for the toddlers in case they fall. Ah anyway the playgroup teacher is Ms Hazel :) Then we fed them fruits, played with toys and blocks etc back in the classroom, fed them lunch, bathed them and helped them wear their clothes.
Honestly... it was awkward when I had to bathe and help the lil boys wear their clothes. Some observation and conclusion that I made was... lil boys love to play with their own balls. Like seriously. Even when I take other classes like the Nursery ones and the Nursery twos I'll still see most of them doing the same thing before getting scolded by their teachers hahaha! But still..... I don't know, maybe they are still fascinated by their own balls! :) Thing was on the first day of work, Yujie touched my face after playing with his own balls for like 30secs! Totally drove me crazy like seriously hahaha I totally stunned right on the spot >:(
Then it was nap time. We had to lay out their beds and pillows bolsters blankets etc. Normally Mindchamps children will bring their 'sleeping materials' on Monday and bring them home only on Friday. Quite a good experience really. But it was actually the most tiring 'chore' @ Mindchamps. My knees are filled with blue-black bruises now :(
So while the children slept, the teachers took their lunch and prepared teaching materials :) Quite a new experience to me too, since I've never used a laminating machine before and I learnt and actually got to use that machine @ Mindchamps. We had to search on the net for images (for eg animals), print them out, cut them out, and laminate them etc too :)
After nap, the children will have their afternoon snacks before playing with the blocks toys etc again. Throughout the entire day we had to change their diapers for them every now and then and yup, it's quite a new experience for me too, since I'm the youngest in the family.
In the evening, their parents will arrive one by one and the kids will hug us goodbye :)
Did I mention that Natalie and Yujie are totally childhood lovers? :)
Everytime when Natalie cry, Yujie will bring her tissue paper, bring her toys, hold her hands, and ask her not to cry. Natalie always listen to Yujie too! :) When they had to leave each other in the evening, they'll hug each other goodbye with reluctance hahaha how cute is that! :) They are really really sweet and lovely :)

The children are really fast learners too! They learn things really quickly :) Oh and something random is that they love to taupok us for no apparent reason hahaha!
Second day of work
On the second day of work, I took the Nursery one class without Lishan and worked with other teachers alone :( Anyway Nursery one consists of the three years olds and they are really cute too! But still I really missed the two years olds! :(
Oh and I had this random h2h chat with the children, and found out that no one watches Powerpuff girls anymore! Such disastrous news (inserts extremely serious face). Powerpuff girls had always been my favourite cartoon of all times when I was young! Now they watch cartoons like Ben10 which I've never ever watched or heard before... :(
The three years olds really love to draw, build block houses, build lego aeroplanes, sit on my lap and jump across my legs hahaha. We had the same routine as the first day :) Just that they don't wear diapers anymore so I always have to bring them to the toilet every now and then in case.... they pee on their pants.
After work I met baby and we had dinner @ Changi Airport Terminal 2's burger king :) Gaigai-ed, walked around, viewed the gallery, acted like homeless people etc hahaha and we saw tons of Korean fans waiting for........ I don't know, some korean band hahaha there's too many to remember. Anw... I had a gr8 night with baby! ;-)
Third day of work
On the third day of work, I took the 3years olds, 4years olds and the 6years olds :) Another conclusion that I made was........ the children @ Mindchamps are really independent! The 6years olds can really take care of the younger children well! :)
We had the same routine, but this time we sang, danced, drew, coloured and did our own slippers instead! :) Their slippers are really really cool 8-)
During their naptime, Lishan and I will head out and get ourselves chips, chocolates (Main culprit for my fever now) and all before preparing for the teaching materials. Everyday is just about the same routine but the children really brought joy to our lifes :)
Fourth day of work
On the fourth day of work, both Lishan and I took the playgroup class together again! :) After their naptime the both of us had to take care of the entire class which consists of 8 two years olds on our own as the other teachers had to go for this particular safety course in another classroom. The course lasted till evening so it also meant that we'll have to take care of the children on our own for the rest of the afternoon. It was tedious really cause it was the first time we are taking care of them without other teachers' help. But around 4 or 5, all the children gathered in the gym room and watched the movie 'Up' together so it was still quite okay :)
After work that night I met up with bobby again and this time we had dinner @ Xinwang hongkong cafe @ Changi Airport Terminal 3! Yummy dimsum for dinner :) We really wanted to have dessert @ Ah wang dessert (HAHAHA) but well we were too full for dessert! :( Awesome awesome night ;-) But I was so tired after work that I fell asleep on the way home with bobby!
Fifth day of work, the last day of work.
Last day of internship.
We had our regular routine again and in the afternoon Lishan and I had to take care of the playgroup class alone again while the teachers go for their course. Internship had been extremely tiring but still.. it was really awesome. The kids are really awesome, adorable, cute, lovely, hyper and full of energy. Conclusion? I'll really really miss the kids :( A lot, a lot.
I'll post the photos that I took @ Mindchamps the other day alright I'm too lazy to! :(
On Saturday morning (26th of June), I headed to Tampines sports hall to support bobby @ his soccer competition. It was... not like how I've expected it to be like so... yup. @ Around 10, I left and headed to Mindchamps for their carnival :) There was balloons, free flow of popcorn, cookies, sandwiches, nachos etc, magician, face paint, nail art, mask crafting etc. A carnival for both parents and children :) Lishan and I were in charge of the nail art station and it ended up to be tiring cause their nails are just so small! We had to stick stars on their extremely small nails and they just love to fidget. Still, I had a gr8 time @ the carnival :)
After the carnival there was a talk for the teachers by Great Eastern company and Lishan and I went for it as well. We didn't have any idea on what they were talking about but still after the 10mins talk we received a free spa voucher @ Venus skin aesthetic institute! Awesome or what ;-) We are heading there together someday!
Oh and y' know what? MDM TEO JO HSUAN THE CCHMS BIO TEACHER IS MR KAYNE TAN'S WIFE! And we only got to know about that on the carnival day hahaha cool or what!
After the carnival I met bobby again and we headed to Suntec and had pizzahut for lunch! :) After lunch we walked around etc and made our wishes @ the Suntec wealth fountain! :) I made two wishes and now that the first one came true, let's hope that the second one will come true too! :) I was extremely elated happygirl123 when I knew that my first wish came true :)
Anyway sorry to Lishan for not being able to make it to her place for world cup sleepover that night! :( Next time alright I'm sorry babe!
Photos from the carnival:
In the evening, I met my family for dinner @ Lavender food hall (Gr8 food paradize!) before heading to the East Coast park to cycle :) Awesome time ;-)
28th June marks the first day of school.
We now have a new seating arrangement, and my table partner is now Phoony! :)
Happy x 10000000000 only! :)
We now have a new chairperson + vice chairman too :)
Ah Chia Lynn + Wilson Veronica Ah gan hahaha :)
And a new awesome assistant form teacher, Mr Darrell Tan :)
And a new awesome english teacher, Mr Ryan David Lim! :)
Germaine and I were extremely disappointed cause we didn't move to a new classroom and now it's extremely inconvenient for us to go to the canteen + the construction work is really noisy :( But on a brighter note, we'll be getting our air-condition next Monday! ;-)
Mr Ryan Lim is super cute really hahaha so much better than Soh guat ee! He really loves Taeyeon and insisted that Taeyeon's the best among the other SNSD members hahaha. Anyway Chris insisted that Po in Teletubby is actually Pau hahaha! (Random only)
After school, Germaine and I headed to The Paper Market @ Raffles city, only to find out that it's under renovation :( So we bus-ed over to Vivocity instead and got ourselves the long sour sweet that Mr Darrell Tan recommended to us! :) The shop name is actually called Softie in my Lolly, and it's available just outside the cinema @ Vivocity 2nd floor :) The sweet is really extremely long, longer than I've expected but the taste is just like any other regular sweet. Still, it's worth to try :) Especially this rainbow sour sweet! :)

On the 29th June, I headed to UrbanWrite @ Tampines with Qiulin and met up with my sister :) I really wanted to check out the Plaza Sing's Paper Market but still, Urbanwrite is quite a nice shop too :) It's located @ Tampines one's basement :) These few days I've been going home right after school as the flu's getting from bad to worse :( But still it's not showing any signs of recovery :( Get well soon, yujia :(
Good luck to Lishan Emma Chi who's having her cello competition tomorrow :)
All the best babe! :)
